Good energy needs good care.

Keep a record of performance

Monitoring generation over time can help identify unexpected changes. Output naturally varies with weather and seasons, so compare like-for-like periods and investigate patterns rather than a single cloudy day.

Schedule appropriate inspections

Routine checks can cover panel condition, mounting, cabling, protection equipment and inverter operation. The maintenance plan should reflect the equipment, site environment, manufacturer guidance and access arrangements.

Leave roof and electrical work to professionals

A visual observation from ground level is different from a technical inspection. Solar arrays can remain electrically active in daylight. Do not open electrical enclosures or attempt rooftop maintenance yourself; contact an appropriately qualified professional.

Maintain your system documentation

Keep design drawings, handover records, equipment details and service history together. When something changes or needs attention, this information helps the maintenance team understand the system and plan the right response.
